The topics change every semester. The focus of the topics depends on the lecturers who hold the advanced seminars in the semester. Climatological topics of the last years were:
- Physical Geography in North America
- Ice and snow in the geosystem - topics from physical geography, glaciology and tourism
- Applied climatology: tourism, environmental planning, energy industry
- Recent questions of regional climate variability of the system "Earth"
