Experts from Ghana visit Schweinheim after floods in 2021
In November, 14 experts from Ghana visited Schweinheim near Euskirchen as part of the BRIDGE project.
The BRIDGE project aims to identify and analyze climatic risks and develop possible adaptation measures for the Ghanaian population.
The excursion in Schweinheim included a tour of the village and a visit to the dam of the Steinbach reservoir. The Ghanaian experts were particularly interested in how to deal with the flood disaster of July 14 and 15, 2021, when heavy rainfall in Ghana led to flooding and the overflowing of two reservoirs in mid-October.
